MANILA, Philippines – A school in Mandaluyong City has called off classes in the elementary and high school levels after one of its students tested positive for Influenza A(H1N1), a TV report said today. This is the school’s first confirmed case of the flu.
The Lourdes School of Mandaluyong said classes will resume on June 29, the report added.
The number of confirmed Influenza A(H1N1) infections in the Philippines has already breached the 300 mark — the highest in Southeast Asia.
